Program Information
Clinical Epidemiology is the application of the science of epidemiology in a clinical setting. Here the importance is given to a medically defined population rather than on disease trends which are statistically formulated and derived from the assessment of larger population categories. The study covers topics such as disease patterns in human population, identification of the causes for the disease also known as etiology, research on data essential for the management, evaluation & planning to prevent, control and treat the diseases.
At our institution, we have adapted to collaborative case-based learning and students are given a platform to experience the practical application of their theoretical learning thinking decisively while all through working in teams. This approach gives our students the leverage to have an edge over their counterparts. Our students graduate as well as learned clinical ecologists having armed with hands-on assignments that cover an in-depth research work in relevance to improving the clinical and patient-oriented healthcare system.
